Have you heard about the Play With Purpose conference going on at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair? It’s the place to go for free games, CPDUs, and lots of great information. In addition, in this letter from Mary Couzin, she invites educators to be guests to the rest of the Chicago Toy and Game Fair!
We have a few events that may be of interest to you in conjunction with The Chicago Toy & Game Fair, www.chitagfair.com.
This is our 10th anniversary and our 10th year inviting educators as our guests to the Fair. We understand the vital role that play has in the educational process. Educators receive free admission to the Chicago Toy & Game Fair, and you’ll find special programming with you and your students in mind, such as the Young Inventor Challenge.
The Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG) and PlaSmart bring together imagination, play and inventive thinking with their fifth annual Young Inventor Challenge (YIC), to be held at the Fair on Saturday, November 17th at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The Challenge is free to enter and there are terrific prizes. The winner of the senior division got his game licensed last year by PlaSmart, who was so impressed with the kids, they sponsored the Challenge this year! There are classroom materials on the website if you would like to make this a project for the kids. Vitis www.younginventorchallenge.com for details.
We also have an event for educators hosted by Sharp-As-A-Tack and sponsored by Word Winder for the Classroom – from the world’s most syndicated puzzle creator – David L. Hoyt! Click to see more information about the Play with Purpose Conference.
We hope you can join us this year! Let us know if you have any questions.
